Once you and your medical practitioner decide on what is a healthy weight for you then all you need to do is live according to your new weight.
What this means is start living as though you are already at your target weight by selecting the foods and exercise that a person of that weight does. Nothing extreme is needed at all!
Instead of asking “how to lose weight fast?” try “how do I lose weight permanently?”

Research strongly indicates that people who don’t regularly eat breakfast weigh more than people who make breakfast a regular part of their day. It also shows that people who are accustomed to eating breakfast will react to missing this meal by being moody, lethargic and less productive then usual.
Skipping Meals to Save Calories
The theory behind cutting away meals is that the dieter will save that number of calories and hopefully lose weight.
Although cutting out a meal in your day will reduce the number of calories ingested for that meal, the chances greatly improve that you will more than make up for it in the later part of the day.
Starting the day with breakfast will give you energy and set your metabolic engine to a higher gear. Your body is an amazing biological organism whose first priority is to survive (in spite of you) and has been genetically geared to do so for thousands of years.
By skipping a meal – especially breakfast you are keeping your body in hibernation mode. At night when you go to bed your body slows down and uses most of its fuel to feed the primary auto functions of your body.
If you don’t give your body fuel after the long evening / night fast, your body won’t allow itself to kick back into full throttle. If you ate last at 8 pm and don’t eat again until lunch, you have forced your body to function in a slower state for 16 hours. You have starved yourself for 16 hours. Not a nice way to treat your friend.
Have a good hearty and healthy breakfast, let your body know you are providing fuel and your body will repay you with energy, alertness, and – increased metabolism.
Not so Easy Way to Cut Calories
Skipping meals may be tempting and seem like the easy way to cut calories but you know yourself, when you allow yourself to get hungry, your ability to reason with yourself goes out the window and then you are eating something out of the vending machine or doubling up at dinner time.
Plan for at least three meals in the day and give a strong consideration to adopting a meal plan of 5 – 6 small meals throughout your day. You will rev up your metabolism, feed your body all the nourishment’s it needs to be healthy, and the extra energy will be more encouraging for you to keep up with your cardio and strength training.
Another thing your body will do to survive is it starts to cannibalize itself for fuel and will whittle away at your muscle as well as your fat if you try and starve it. Therefore, you are actually losing metabolic efficiency by skipping meals.
Studies also indicate that people who start every day with breakfast are more likely to stay on a diet and maintain a healthy weight. A balanced breakfast that is high in fibre and protein (example would be eggs, yogurt, apple and oatmeal) can kick start your metabolism – revving that body engine that burns calories and holds off your hunger throughout the morning.
Rather than skipping meals, eat several smaller meals throughout the day, that’s the best way to cut calories and satisfy hunger.
