Wanting to lose 10 pounds on a crash diet isn’t an unusual desire, but crash dieting is renowned for slowing a persons metabolism making it difficult to maintain a losing streak.

If you attempting to accomplish rapid weightloss by using a crash diet you may want to consider a healthier approach.

Crash Diets have an allure of fast weight loss. That’s a dream come true isn’t it? And for a while many of them work because you cut your calories so severely. You really have no choice but to lose weight.

Unfortunately you can only go on that way for a short period of time. And very quickly return to your old eating patterns and gain the pounds back and perhaps worse.

I would suggest to consider a real diet that you can comfortably adjust to. They say if you want to look like a fit person you need only do as a fit person does, so for reference I have written out my own personal 7 day diet.

This 7 day diet is identical to the diet I used to lose 40 lbs.

Those other highly restrictive diets rely solely on your nail-biting willpower. You need to eat to live and now you are trying to ignore a biological need. Eventually you will lose, your body’s need will win, and you will be back on the road to eating again and still not having learned how to eat healthily.

One way to lose weight without all the games is to just pick something unhealthy you are ingesting now and reduce it’s consumption by 100 calories per day. Studies show your body won’t react to this by slowing your metabolism and 100 calories per day is almost a pound a month. It doesn’t sound like much I know – but it adds up quickly.

I would also suggest not stopping there. Spend the time learning about healthy nutrition, weight loss, and fitness and as you adjust to the 100 calorie change in your diet, find another unhealthy thing to change or remove that will reduce your caloric intake by another 100 calories per day. Keep up these steady changes and fairly soon you will reach your goal and lose 10 pounds plus you will be on a reasonable and long term manageable diet you can be happy with for life.
