Big Dieting Mistake
Quitting your diet because you think you failed.
Most diets have around a 98 – 99 % quit rate. Much of that is because we fly out of the gate without knowing what comes after the first week.
Once we make that leap to incorporate a lifestyle change we tend to go whole hog, let the chips fly.
The problem with that is there are so many things at stake. New foods, new schedule, new trainers etc.
It can get confusing, disorganized and too much to take on all at once. Then when you didn’t succeed in the first few days you call yourself names and consider yourself a failure.
You are NOT a failure!
First off it takes time to reorganize a life. It took you how many years to do what you are doing now – so just pick a thing and do that – not the whole gambit.
Second if you have managed to keep pace with the new diet and everything else but you aren’t seeing the results you had expected, that still does not make YOU a failure.
So don’t quit!
Failure is only a pause; it just means you are getting feedback from your environment. If you are not seeing the results you had hoped to, just take some time to re- evaluate what you are doing
but don’t quit.
Failing to achieve a desired goal or outcome doesn’t make you the failure, its just an indication there needs to be some adjustment in your execution or planning.
Failure is NOT a License to Quit
Quitting isn’t failure, quitting is quitting
If you make a mistake, admit it, forgive yourself, and get back on track – Don’t quit. Any temporary setback can be fixed.
Just because you got a little derailed doesn’t mean your weight loss goal was a bad idea. It just means you might have to alter your plan a little bit to get there.
It isn’t personal and the universe isn’t conspiring to set you up for doom.
As a matter of fact you can get right back to your goal path this very minute.
This one little deviation will not undo all your hard work – it’s just one slip-up. Think of all your good diet choices you made yesterday, today, and the ones you’ll make tomorrow.
I believe in you.
